Next time your baking cookies, bake some of the cookie dough on the other side of your cupcake tin and there you have cute little cookie bowls for ice-cream.

Just make sure you pop down to the studio and drop us off some for us!

Meet Jess

Meet Jess, this was her second time back to studio 1b. She’s a singer and songwriter and wanted some photo’s she could use for her website and album covers.

Rosey Red faced

With the warm weather coming a lot of us girls can get blotchy or red skin tones. Rather than cake on more foundation you can simply colour correct.

If you are suffering from redness using a green primer will help to eliminate this.

We really love the smashbox primer, its great to use if your having a photo shoot too as it was designed to give you that flawless look in photos.

Don’t be put of by the colour of this. You only need a tiny pea sized amount and then just blend over your face.

As well as eliminating the redness the primer will also keep your foundation on for longer and also smooth out your skin, genius!

Oily Skin tip

Little tip – If you suffer from oily skin you can apply some milk of magnesia on your face and apply as a face mask.

This helps remove excess oil from you skin. Rinse off after 10 minutes and you will notice the difference when you apply you make up with how it sits on the skin and how ling it lasts.

This is great to do the night before a photo shoot as it will keep your make up looking fresh under the studio lights.

Weird and Wonderful

We were a bit sceptical when we heard about this breakfast but we gave it a go and have to say we were pleasantly surprised as it was simply delicious!

Cream cheese and blueberry toasties – not your average toastie but very tasty. We think it would nice with other fruits like strawberries?

Matte Lips

This season matte lips are on trend and before you rush out to buy a whole new lipstick collection we have a very simple trick here.

Simply apply your regular lipstick and with a matching coloured blusher simply press over your lipstick.

There you have your very own DIY matte lipstick.

Nail Inspiration of the week

This is really simple to do.

1. Paint your nails in a light pink colour – wait for it to dry.

2. Get some scotch magic tape and mask off diagonally on your nails.

3. Paint the top half in black and whilst your nails are wet peal of the tape.

4. Add a top coat and your all for Friday night!

Summer breakfast

Simply fill half a melon with yoghurt, more fruit and granola and any other yummy treats you can think of and tuck in! Thats breakfast sorted and at least a couple of your 5 a day.

Then there is no excuse not to be in shape for your photo shoot.

We recently shot Sam Fairers here at Studio 1B so were over the moon when we heard that her partner Joey Essex had popped the question.

Joey Essex whisked her away to Dubai to propose to her.

Sam will make a beautiful bride, we can’t wait to see the dress!
